The Evolution and Determinants of Ecosystem Services in Guizhou—A Typical Karst Mountainous Area in Southwest China

Due to rapid urbanization and economic development, the natural environment ecological processes have been significantly affected by human activities. Especially in ecologically fragile karst areas, ecosystems are more sensitive external disturbances a hard time recovering, thus studies on ecosystem services these areas significant. In view of this, we took Guizhou (a typical province) as research area, evaluated service value (ESV) according reclassified land uses revised equivalent factors, investigated determinants based geographic detection. It was found that total ESV showed prominent increase trend, increasing from 152.55 billion CNY 2000 285.50 2020. The rise grain prices due growing social demands main factor driving ESV. Spatially, ESVs central western were lower with cold spots appearing around gathering while southern southeastern higher hot formed continually distributed woodland. Moreover, per unit area its change rate regions always than non-karst areas. Precipitation temperature dominant nature factors cultivation population density anthropogenic effects evolution services. Therefore, positive activities well rational efficient land-use should be guided promote coordinated high-quality development ecology economy.
